Technology can help teachers to promote the best learning methods and engage students in an interactive way that makes learning more enjoyable for all. Since technology is ever changing, it's important as educators to continuously stay on top of frequent updates and new areas for growth and improvement. One site that I found that helps to stay on top of common technology trends is: https://www.teach-nology.com/teachers/educational_technology/
This site discusses the technology trends used in the classroom, and is also updated throughout the year. This is useful for teachers to always stay up to date on the latest technology that may have came out recently that they didn't know about before.
From the PowerPoint assignments I learned how to create presentations with voice overs and helpful speaking notes for talking in front of others. I also learned who to create animations, transitions, create sound affects, and insert clip art. I liked using PowerPoint because most teachers use this tool every day, so I enjoyed practicing with it, specifically with the voice overs as this was a skill I did not know how to do before. I loved the creativeness of both of the presentations and the freedom we had! I didn't like was how long the slides had to be as I found it hard to create a lengthy presentation. Next time, I hope to work far ahead of time to better assignment 2 as I found it to be more work than assignment 1. Screenshots:
I loved how in Ray's blog post she reminded us to look back at our past ones in order to reflect on how far we've come through out the course and how much we've learned. I think it's important to acknowledge the accomplishments we've made and the improvement that we've made for our future classrooms! Ray's post was a "ray" of sunshine to read!!

Hey Noelle! Great post! I really liked the PowerPoints you made! They look very professional and I'm sure they are full of great content. I also agree with what you said about how it is important to review our previous work. Teachers encourage students to correct and improve on their own work all the time, so we should always strive to hold ourselves to the same standard!
